About Us

Melilanda olive groves were established in 1994 on the North Western Slopes of New South Wales. The founder Ted Nikolas took a liking to the area which reminded him of his homeland in Europe, and knew this would be the perfect place to establish a grove.

Melilanda is named after his two daughters, Rilanda and Melisa. The company is family owned and operated, guaranteeing a quality Australian Grown product.

Our Olive Grove

The beautiful surrounds of Melilanda Olives are nestled in the mountain ranges of Mt Kaputar in New South Wales. It captures a clean and unspoilt environment ideal for growing olives and producing fresh extra virgin olive oil, the most healthy culinary alternative. The grove has 35,000 trees which consist of various oil/table varieties including: Kalamata, Hardy’s Mammoth, Frantoio, Corregiola, Nevadillo, Pendolino, Manzanillo, Arbequina, Coratina and Picual.

THE MAIN VARIETIES

The main oil varieties used in the production of Melilanda Extra Virgin Olive Oil are Frantoio and Corregiola, which are popular Italian varieties. Once olives are harvested they are processed immediately to deliver a high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil full of fresh aromas.
